WebPowerfx® F.A.Q (Frequently-Asked Questions)

Get answers to WebPowerfx® Visa and Debit/ATM Card Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Q: What is WebPowerfx®, and why should I use it? A: WebPowerfx® is a service allowing participating web sites to send payments to independent contractors or affiliates electronically, via prepaid debit cards, eliminating the hassles of checks.

If you enjoy waiting for each check to arrive in the mail, hoping it doesn't get lost along the way, taking it to the bank, waiting for it to clear, etc., etc., then WebPowerfx® may not be for you. With WebPowerfx®, however, new payments are INSTANTLY loaded onto your ATM/Debit card the moment your participating site sends them out, and it's cheaper than paying for checks to be delivered overnight or wired to you. You can withdraw your earnings at most ATMs worldwide or use online banking features like billpay, wire transfers, international drafts, card-to-card transfers, and more. (Online access is available in most areas.)

  • Q: How does it work? A: Web site participants may request that those sites send payments to them by funding prepaid "rechargeable" debit cards, rather than by check. Depending on your location, these cards will either be VISA debit or ATM debit cards, as follows.

Users in these locations will receive VISA Debit cards:
    ArgentinaBrazilFinlandNetherlandsSpain
    AustraliaCanadaGermanyNew ZealandSweden
    AustriaChinaHong KongNorwaySwitzerland
    BahamasCosta RicaIrelandPeruUnited Kingdom
    BelgiumDominican RepublicItalySouth AfricaUnited States
These VISA Debit cards are accepted anywhere you see one of these symbols:

Users in all other locations will receive Debit cards that work on the Maestro, Star, Cirrus, and Plus networks. Look for any of these logos at your local ATM, supermarket, or retailer:

  • Q: How do I activate my card? A: You can active your card in one of two ways. First, you can do so online at http://www.webpowerfx.com. Doing so will also let you set up your online account, where you can check your balance, monitor your deposits and withdrawals, and access the WebPowerfx® Wire Service. If you prefer, you can activate your card by phone. In the US or Canada, call 1-800-379-2603; from other countries, you can activate your card by calling +1-561-427-1038.

REMEMBER, after you activate your card, you must still return to your participating web site where you first requested your card to notify them to begin sending your payments electronically to your card.

  • Q: How does the WebPowerfx® card differ from other "ePayment" cards? A: Plenty. For starters:
    • Your money is SAFE. In these times of uncertainty in financial systems, you can rest easy knowing that every last cent on your WebPowerfx® card is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government, the strongest backing of all. This guarantee is yours even if you don't live in the US! No other website "ePayment" system offers you this level of protection.

    • Since WebPowerfx® cards are bank-issued, we can offer a full range of services like online bill-pay and international wire transfers.

    • WebPowerfx® exists for the sole purpose of allowing participating web sites to send funds to contractors and affiliates. It isn't designed with anyone else in mind.

    • WebPowerfx® works directly with the participating web sites; they aren't just "sponsors" or customers. We understand these sites, and we understand the needs of their users.

  • Q: Where can I use my WebPowerfx® card? A: You can use your card just as you would a bank debit card:
    • If your WebPowerfx® card features the VISA logo (not available in all locations, see list above), you can use your WebPowerfx® card to make purchases at any merchant or online website that displays the Visa logo. (Please contact the merchant if you have any questions.) Your WebPowerfx® VISA card can also be used like a regular ATM card. You can obtain cash worldwide from any ATM that displays the Cirrus, Plus, or Star logos, and can be used at any merchant location that displays any of these logos for PIN-based transactions.
    • If your WebPowerfx® does not have the VISA logo, your card can still be used at literally millions of locations, just like a regular ATM card. You can obtain cash worldwide from any ATM that displays the Maestro, Cirrus, Plus, or Star logos, and can be used at any merchant location that displays any of these logos for PIN-based transactions.
    • You can also transfer money from your card to a regular bank account via the WebPowerfx® Wire Service.

  • Q: What is the maximum amount I can have on my WebPowerfx® card? A: You can have a maximum balance of $15,000 on your card. If your participating web site attempts to fund your card with an amount that would bring your balance over $15,000, the payment cannot be immediately processed; you will need to contact your participating web site for instructions on how to get your payments transferred to you. If you routinely earn more than $15,000 in a single payment, we will make alternative arrangements with you and your site so you can still receive payments electronically.
