WebPowerfx® Wire Services

Once you receive your WebPowerfx card, you may take advantage of many online features and tools. One of these is the WebPowerfx Wire Service. The WebPowerfx Wire Service is a safe way to send money from your WebPowerfx card to your home bank account and convert US Dollars to your home currency. It also allows you to send a draft (which works just like a check) to anyone, anywhere. Here's how to do it:

STEP 1 - LOGIN TO WIRE SERVICES
  • Go to http://www.webpowerfx.com and click "Online Tools" to login to your online account. (If you haven't already created your online account, you will need to do so first.)

  • Once you have logged in, select the "GLOBAL CURRENCIES" link. This will take you directly to the WebPowerfx®Wire Service home page.

  • Before you can send a wire or draft, you will need to set up the recipient, called a "beneficiary". For wires, this will typically be your home bank account. For drafts, it can be an individual or company to whom you need to mail a payment.

STEP 2 - HOW TO SET UP A BENEFICIARY

  • On the menu bar at the top of the page, select "Manage", then "Manage Beneficiary".

  • Choose whether this beneficiary will be receiving Wires or Drafts (or both) by checking the appropriate checkbox.

  • Based on your selection above, you will need to fill out a number of fields for the beneficiary, including the name, country, and currency.

  1. Beneficiary Name: IMPORTANT, the Beneficiary Name MUST be the EXACT name on the account that your are setting up here. If this field is not accurate, your wire may be returned by the bank.

  2. Short Name: The Short Name is optional, just for your benefit; it's there to help you identify which beneficiary this is (for example, "My Bank Account").

  3. Country: This is required for either wire or draft beneficiaries.

  4. Payment Currency: Select the currency this is maintained in your home bank account (British Pounds, Euro, etc.). Your wire or draft will be converted and sent in the currency you select.

  5. Beneficiary's Mailing Address: This is the recipient's address, not the bank's (your home address, for example). This is especially important for Drafts, as this is the address to which the draft checks will be mailed. For Wires, this is still required as a reference.

  6. Other Information:
    - Reference Comments: For Drafts, put any additional information that needs to be sent, such as your account number with the beneficiary, in this box.

    - Payment Track: Notify your beneficiaries that payment is on its way. By entering an email address for a beneficiary and checking Payment Track your beneficiary will receive an email from First Republic Bank notifying them of an incoming payment. Details of the payment can also be easily accessed from the email.

    - Email Address: The address for the Payment Track emails.

    - Remitter: That's your name, so the recipient can recognize you.

The following information is only needed for Wires. Your bank may need to provide you with this information.

  • Bank Name: This will be the name of the bank to which you are wiring funds.

  • Bank Code: This number identifies the bank to which you are wiring funds. For US users, this will be the Routing Number. If you are wiring funds to a US checking account, you can find the Routing Number in the lower-left corner of your checks.

  • SWIFT Code: This number helps banks communicate with each other. US banks will not have a SWIFT Code.

  • IBAN/Account Number: This is the account number of the bank account receiving funds. For banks in the European Union, use the IBAN number in this field.

  • Address: Please be as complete and accurate as possible with the address of the bank.

  • Correspondent Bank Information: Leave this blank unless otherwise instructed by your (or the recipient's) bank.

STEP 3 - HOW TO CREATE A WIRE TRANSFER OR DRAFT

  • On the menu bar at the top of the page, select "Order Wires/Drafts".

  • Click in the first box under the "Product" column.

  • The order entry window will appear.

  1. Select either "Wire" or "Draft" from the drop-down list under "Product".

  2. Choose the currency that you previously set up for this beneficiary. If a Wire, make sure this is the currency of your bank account.

  3. Type in the amount you wish to send in the "Payment Amount" field.

  4. From the "Beneficiary" list, choose the individual to whom the draft or wire will be sent.

  5. Once you have entered this information, click the "Add Payment" button in the lower-right.
The remaining fields are optional.

  • Repeat the above steps for any other Wires or Drafts you wish to send at this time.

STEP 4 - HOW TO SEND FUNDS

  • After you finish creating your order, select "Send Wires/Drafts" from the Payments section near the top-center of the page.

  • A pop-up will appear, asking, "Are you sure you want to order this?" Click "OK" if you wish to proceed.

  • The amount deducted from your WebPowerfx® card will be the US Dollar equivalent of the currency you select, plus applicable fees.

STEP 5 - HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR RECEIPT

  • After you have sent your order, you can obtain a receipt by clicking the "Download Receipt" link on the confirmation page.

  • You can keep a paper copy of your receipt by selecting "Print this page".

ADDITIONAL FEATURE - TEMPLATES

If you have a similar order/payment you make regularly, instead of having to enter the details every time, you can save the order as a "Template" you can use whenever you want.

To create a template:

  • Go back to the "Order Wires/Drafts" page, and you will see the "Templates" section in the upper-right.

  • Fill out the form as you need as in Step 3, but rather than clicking "Send Wires/Drafts", type in a name for the template next to the "Save Order As" button, then click that button.

To use an existing template:

  • Choose the template you wish to load from the drop-down list underneath "Templates".

  • Click the "Append" button next to it to add the details from that template into your current order.
